The Land of the Sky Chorus sings popular music in the “Barbershop” style—four-part consonant a cappella harmonies featuring dominant seventh chords. If you don't know what any of that means, just know that the thrill of harmonizing cutting-edge Barbershop arrangements simply defies description—sing them and feel it!

We perform an entertaining variety of harmony, comedy, visual vitality and audience participation—all aspects of Barbershop performance artistry. Joyful, giggling, cheering audiences inspire us to create more wonderful art in each successive performance!

We live creative leadership—seeking, developing, using and enhancing the skills and talents of each member to such an extent that progress seems limitless. Our superb educational organization develops harmony singers, a cappella choral directors, performance coaches, emcees and many other creative leaders!

We inspire youth through educational outreaches and support for vocal music arts programs. These outreaches and programs develop music skills, build social self-esteem and feed positive energy into young people’s lives!

The Asheville Chapter was determined to be the #1 chapter in the Society for the 2010 Chapter Achievement Program.

The Heart of Carolina Chorus, a men's a cappella ensemble dedicated to preserving the 20th century forms of American harmonies while exploring new harmonies and expanding our musical horizons.

"The Albemarle Sounds" are directed by Gil Burroughs. We meet at 7:30 pm every Thursday. 

We're always looking for new members and would be delighted for anyone to stop by some Thursday and find out just how much fun barbershop singing really is!

The Greensboro Tarheel Chorus is an all-male a cappella group that is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. We practice weekly, perform regularly and compete several times a year. However, we are a friendly, recreational group and we encourage you to come out and try barbershop for yourself. No experience necessary!

We are a chartered member of the Barbershop Society – one of about 840 in the US and Canada. This gives us access to its enormous library of arrangements and music, group insurance for any chorus activities, access to coaches, and leadership training, and the ability to participate with other chapters in Society sponsored events. As a member of the Society, were are also non-profit organization (501 C-3).

The Southern Gentlemen Chapter is a part of the NSC Carolina's District – one of 17 districts in the US and Canada. The District is a two-state region (NC, SC) and consists of 27 chapters with about 900 members. Our district conducts learning events and holds spring and fall conventions which feature chorus and quartet competitions. Winners are selected to represent the District at the International Contest each July.

The Cape Fear Chordsmen is a fraternity dedicated to quality singing in the barbershop style. We cherish our fellowship. We sing for the joy of singing and we sing to delight our audiences. We contribute to our community by sharing our talents and resources.

The Carolinas District Frank Thorne Chapter-at-Large is made up of proud members of the Barbershop Harmony Society who are not currently affiliated with another local NSC chapter or chorus. While this group does not meet together on a regular basis, it is made up of dedicated barbershop singers and performers who love four-part harmony. We currently have two registered quartets with members in the NSC Frank Thorne Chapter: Carolinas Quadraphonic and 17 Below.

We are a non-profit organization which seeks to enrich our community with our talent and our treasure through the use of the barbershop style of music. The Harbormasters will continue to share our music throughout the town as we prepare for future shows and informal performances. We welcome men of good will who enjoy singing to visit us at any of our meetings.

The Main Street Harmonizers are the Lexington, SC chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly known as The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America).

We are a group of barbershop enthusiasts from throughout the midlands area who have joined together to promote a cappella (no musical accompaniment) singing and traditional barbershop harmony.
