There will be a PRESIDENT'S CIRCLE DINNER Friday, Mar. 23, at 4:00 PM. Please watch for more information on that in the near future.
Right now it looks like the Quartet competitions will start at 7:00 PM, both evenings.
NSC 2012 Spring Convention (MAR 23/24, 2012) Housing

Please call 910-323-0111, ONLY, to reserve. Tell them you are with the “BHS” event starting Mar. 23 (they will also recognize “barbershop”, “barbershopper”, “Carolinas barbershop”, and the like. [If the phone rings for a long time, don't give up. They are busy, but will get to you.]
King rooms are available from Mar. 22; you can reserve double rooms from Friday, Mar. 23. Our rate is $95/night, plus taxes. THE DEADLINE FOR RESERVATIONS AT OUR SPECIAL RATE IS MONDAY FEB 27.

ANNOUNCEMENT
It is my privilege to officially welcome Savannah Chapter, with its 37 members, including its “13th Colony Sound Chorus”, and its renowned “Savannah Storm” youth chorus. By its request, and the approval of Dixie District, Savannah Chapter has now become the NEWEST CHAPTER OF CAROLINAS DISTRICT.
This active and exciting chapter has a rich history and is prospering under the leadership of : President Robert Kearns (Bob), Director Jeremy Conover, and Assistant Director Duke Andrus. Jeremy, who is a Society judge and an outstanding quartet man, founded the youth chorus in 2009, and in 2010 they became Plateau A Champions at the Society’s Mid Winter Youth Chorus competitions.
Let’s all welcome them aboard!

VILLAGE GREEN AND BLacKJack (wow!!) are going to the BHS Mid-Winter (Jan. 17-22, 2012; Tucson, AZ) Seniors Quartet Contest.
HEART OF CAROLINA CHORUS (Central Carolina, NC) is Carolinas District 2011 Chorus Champion.
17 BELOW is Carolinas District 2011 Quartet Champion.
BLacKJacK is Carolinas District 2011 Seniors Quartet Champion.
SOUNDS LIKE A WINNER is Carolinas District 2011 Novice Quartet Champion.
New Licensed Chapter

The Licensing of the first new chapter in the Carolinas District took place on Saturday, September 17th following a meeting and rehearsal of the Palmetto Vocal Project.
